Are you ready to explore living more creatively? Do you want to meet people who are interested in starting a cohousing community, considering opening their home to co-householding, creating a neighborhood common house, or exploring other options to expand creative living in Twin Cities neighborhoods? The Creative Living Projects Seminar is designed for people who want to move toward action. Meet others, explore large topics and questions for organizing a project, and share resources with each other. Organizers Brooke Dierkhising and Lynn Englund hope the workshops help create the nucleus to launch a couple of new projects and provide support for early stages of development. Registration will be open until the first session (or until our cohort is full – 12 members) and then the group will be closed. Registration is first come first served. WHEN: Wednesdays, Feb. 17 through Mar. 23 (6 weeks), 7-9 pm. WHERE: Bethany Lutheran Church Fireside Room, 3901 36th Avenue South, Minneapolis. WHO: People who want to explore or move toward action on a creative living project. COST: Fee is donation-based to cover facility rental, snacks, materials, and possible speakers. A suggested donation of $60 will be collected at the first workshop. TOPICS CIRCLE SHARING: what brings you to this workshop and what inspires you? YOUR PEOPLE and GOVERNANCE: how you will work together, decision making, leadership, behind the scenes, internal partnerships. PLACE: location, land, real estate, rent or own, zoning, professional support/external partnerships. MONEY: how does the project sustain itself, revenue/expenses. VISIONING and STRUCTURE: big thinking brainstorm, purpose/intention of your project, describe, rules/boundaries.
