Hello Everyone!
As some of you already know, I recently landed a once-in-a-lifetime job with
Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand as a full-time lecturer teaching
film editing for the 2008-09 school year! I am so excited I can hardly
believe it's really happening. I will be heading out on Sept 4 – less than
three weeks away! I am so sorry I wasn't able to tell most of you in person
or at least on the phone, but I only received the offer of my employment
about two weeks ago, and I just bought my plane tickets yesterday! It's been
an absolute whirlwind of activity around here, making all the million
arrangements necessary for my relocation (and my little dog, too!), which is
why you are just hearing the news now.

OF COURSE there will be a Bon Voyage Backyard BBQ, hosted by Amy and Luis
Perez Ortiz, on Sat Aug 23, from 5pm until ... well, until the party ends,

I do hope you can make it because I may not get a chance to see you

Also, I am having a moving sale on Sat Aug 30 and Sun Aug 31. Everything
must go! I don't have a ton of stuff, but there will be furniture, lamps,
kitchen stuff, electronics, etc. And the prices will be good cuz – like I
said – it's all got to go!
