Dear Folk School friends,

Hopework folk school has come out of hibernation, and is excited to announce a spring folk school retreat. In fact, its first ever child-friendly retreat, the weekend of May 6-8 at Shalom Hill Farm.

The theme we have provisionally identified is: Play and Imagination. You don’t need to have a young child to participate, only to have been one.

Elizabeth Fontaine is spearheading this retreat. The initial brainstorming and planning meeting for the retreat will be at noon on Tuesday, March 1, at Lynn Englund’s apartment. Lynn will provide soup and bread and beverages.

Please let Lynn know if you would like to help plan and facilitate the retreat, and can come to the lunch. If you are not able to plan, but are interested in participating in the retreat, let us know.

Estimated costs are $75 single occupancy, $65 per person double occupancy. Anonymous donor has offered to cover the costs of children 12 and under.

Lynn’s address is 90 Malcolm Avenue SE, Apt. 3, Minneapolis, 55414. Map available online at http://www.hearthcommunities.com/90malcolm.gif
Lynn’s phone is 612-331-2263; email lynn [at] hopework.org
