St. Olaf college is hosting on Feb. 20th and 21st the 16th annual nobel peace prize forum. It is a two day event in colaboration with five colleges and the Norweigian Nobel Institute. The featured speakers at the forum are Jimmy Carter, Gro Hrlem-director of the world health Organization and former prime minister of Norway and Eboo Patel-executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core in Chicago. The cost is $40 for the two-day forum or $30 for early registration. To register online go to www.stolaf.edu/nppf/2004 Some of the discussions sessions that will take place will be: "Striving for peace in the Global Workplace," "Rights of Indigenous Peoples," Culturally Responsive Health Care," "Honoring Diversity in the Elementary Classroom," "Finding the Roots of Sexual Violence," "Peaceful Families, Peaceful Communites," "CEOs and Moral Intelligence: An Oxymoron?" and "America Through the Eyes of Islam."
