Hello..

I've agreed to be a facilitator for the Wellstone Civic Dialogue
Project, which means convening a group on Thursday, February 5, to
address the topic, "Can We Dream Again?" -- stemming from Paul
Wellstone's book, "Conscience of a Liberal." I'd be delighted if you'd
come to my house on Nicollet Island at 7:00 p.m. on February 5 and
participate in the discussion.

The flow of the conversation may look something like this....

1. We'll tell some stories about things that we've done that had a
positive public impact. What can we learn from these stories?

2. We'll talk about which values are most important to us? Which
values do we find especially lacking in public life?

3. Paul Wellstone speaks of "being on a common journey." Other people
talk about the common good. What does the common good mean to us?

4. What would help us feel like politics is something that could make a
difference in your life and the life of your community?.

Please let me know through an e-mail response if you plan to attend.
I'll e-mail directions to my house after I hear from you. If more than
10 are interested, I'll find a larger space. We'll have refreshments.
